Club Solo in Transitie
CLUB SOLO STOPS AND STARTS A NEW INITIATIVE
For ten years we showed exhibitions of contemporary Dutch and Belgian artists in the two large halls. Curators from Dutch and Belgian museums responded to the exhibitions with works from their own collections. A publication and a multiple were published for each exhibition. The almost forty publications and multiples that are currently available will remain available via the website in the coming years.
Once a year, an artist initiative from abroad presented its own program at Hotel Solo. We organized Club Solo Evenings on topics from the artist’s practice. We made a book, a podcast and a symposium about the future of artist initiatives. Bands performed in our café and we organized lectures with residents of the Rijksakademie and De Ateliers. Art Cinema Ghent showed a long series of film evenings with fascinating introductions, focusing on experimental 16mm film.
The activities take place from April to June.
The festive finissage is on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
